Drew's team, the Owlz played a double-header in his championship tournament on Sunday, 11/4. They handily won the first game which pitted them against the only team they lost to all season. Drew's team lost to the Express by 3 runs when they met the first time early in the season, but defeated them by 15 runs the second time they met. The championship was a good game, but in the end, Drew's team lost. The boys were all excited to receive their trophies (which were only slightly smaller than the huge 1st place ones).
For the first time this season, Tyler is playing kid-pitch; which also means that the boys can steal bases. Tyler's team, the Lynx, won their games on Saturday and Sunday to earn the right to play in the championship game on Monday, 11/5. His team only lost two games in the regular season and was set to face off with one of those two teams. The boys came out there and played a great game to win the championship. It was a great accomplishment to win this season with all of the changes in the rules.
We really enjoyed watching boy boys play ball this season and can't wait for Spring ball to begin!
